The foundation and organization for much of this code was taken from the Model Ordinance Code, copyright 1989 by League of Minnesota Cities, compiled by Thomas L. Grundhoefer, LMC Staff Attorney.  

The work done on the updating and rewriting of the City ordinances was done by the Askov Planning Commission of 1992-1993, members as follows:

            The recodified ordinances were then reviewed throughout a portion of 1993 and 1994 and accepted by the Askov City Council on November 9, 1994.    Members of the Council at this time were:
